About TEDx
A TEDx event is a local gathering where live TED-like talks and videos previously recorded at TED conferences are shared with the community. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently from TED, on a community-by-community basis. The content and design of each TEDx event is unique and developed independently, but all of them have features in common.
Why TEDxSaratogaHighSchool?
Many students in the Saratoga High School community are avid fans of TED talks and "ideas worth spreading." Furthermore, because of its location in the Silicon Valley, and its history as a suburban town, Saratoga is unique in its marriage of technology and art. We, as Saratoga High School students, wanted to create an event where individuals in this community could talk about their ideas freely, and contribute to Saratoga's sense of community.
